There is no genetic basis for the silver gene in Labradors. The silver color is a disqualification
under the Standard for the breed. The LRC does NOT recognize, accept or condone the sale or
advertising of any Labrador as a silver Labrador. The Club opposes the practice of registering silver as chocolate
Our little space in the universe!
Established in 1989, we began showing with our first black female, Bouldinaire’s Twinkle Toes, CD JH WC aka Winnie. Winnie did not become a show champion, but her temperament and soundness were more important to us than those two letters CH.
In 2005 we moved to Grass Valley, located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. With just under 8 acres, our dogs have plenty of room to run, play, chase balls, chase chickens (which is a no no) and to just be dogs.
All of our dogs are tested for inheritable diseases such as hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, PRA (progressive retinal atrophy), TVD (tri-cuspid valve dysplasia), CNM (centronuclear myopathy), EIC (exercise induced collapse) and the list will continue to go on as new diseases are discovered. We strive for healthy, happy dogs with awesome temperaments.
We love doing all the fun stuff with our dogs such as showing, obedience, swimming, and just cuddling together on the couch, especially on a cold winter day.
